CAF considers Railsponsible as an opportunity to share best practices, apply common standards and take advantage of synergies in the supplier assessment activity. Railsponsible represents a valuable source of knowledge and inspiration for our responsible procurement strategy and activities. We want to share the challenges and best practices of our local industry with the Railsponsible forum and promote the initiative among the Spanish operators, manufacturers and administrations.
Marijke Vandenberge of SNCB said:
SNCB has started a five-year sustainability program based on 3 pillars: attract more passengers to green mobility; enhance the sustainable character of transportation by train; and elaborate an integrated and intermodal mobility. In Procurement, we want to focus on contributing to the second pillar, not only by adapting our way of working (less paper, less waste, etc.) but also by involving our suppliers in our sustainability program. We are happy to be a member of Railsponsible since we share the ambition of a global railway industry where all suppliers have in place good ethical, social, environmental and business practices.
Roberta Pinamonti, Manager, BSR (Railsponsible secretariat) said:
